As I google I see how much money is needed to go there in general per day (around 4000 baht) but I plan to take a travel money card or use my visa for most purchases. I AM wondering if anyone knows a good amount of actual cash in hand that I should have (maybe the whole 4000 baht should be cash, I don’t know). I’m not sure if everywhere takes card like here- or if they prefer cash for example. Will I need money to tip? Or do they not do that there? Will I need cash for dinners or to purchase tourist trinkets? Or do they take card at most places? The most recent information I could find for this was from 6yrs ago, and I know a lot has changed here since covid, so maybe they prefer card payments now. I have no idea. Any help here would be greatly appreciated.
