How easy is it to find an apartment for 2 months in total?

Hey there, I’m coming to Chiang Mai in either October or November this year, but I’m not entirely sure if I should book an apartment beforehand, or perhaps when I am already there?

I heard conflicting stories from different people – some saying that it’s easy to find an apartment once there were there (around Nimman area and relatively close to Nimman), while others say that they had difficulties finding a good quality apartment and that a lot of them were already booked.

Also, I see that a lot of places have yearly (or maybe 6-month) contracts, but this time around I will only be staying for 2-3 months.

How easy is to find apartments for that period of time, and what is the best way to book those? Should I ask in FB groups perhaps if someone is renting for that length of time, or should I refer to Facebook marketplace say and ask the owners there?

What do you think is the best strategy for doing this?
