How can I get to know Buddhism in Thailand (as a woman/tourist) more closely?

Hello everyone,

I’m in Thailand for the first time and have been captivated by the beautiful temples and the overall Buddhist ambiance. I’ve visited some of these stunning sites and am deeply impressed by the surroundings, the monks, and the general atmosphere despite the presence of tourists. A few years ago, I read “The Tibetan Book of Living and Dying” and some books by Jack Kornfield, which profoundly influenced me. Now, being in Thailand, I can see the incredible power of Buddhism once again. Delving deeper into this spiritual practice would be very enriching for me.

Now, my question is: as a woman and a tourist, is it even possible to explore Buddhism more closely here? Are there opportunities for retreats or longer visits to monasteries? If anyone has any advice or tips on this, I would greatly appreciate it!

Thank you!
