Here’s why Thailand’s ban on sunscreen in national parks makes sense

What’s usually in your day-out-on-the-beach kit? A pair of shades, a sun hat maybe, and of course, some sunscreen.

After all, you don’t want to get nasty sunburns while you’re trying to have a good time.

But bringing sunscreen to any of Thailand’s national parks will now land you a hefty fine.

A new law enacted by the Thai government, published on their official Royal Gazette website on August 3, states that anyone caught violating the ruling will be given a US$3,018 (THB100,000) fine.
