Hi,
yesterday I asked here [https://www.reddit.com/r/Thailand/comments/145rv5h/comment/jnqn1ww/?context=3](https://www.reddit.com/r/Thailand/comments/145rv5h/comment/jnqn1ww/?context=3) what kind of problems you guys face, living in thailand.
Many people mentioned the same issues, and one of them was the ‘saving face’ mentality.
I tried to look into it before but did not really understand what it means.
Can somebody explain it to me?
At first, I thought it’s about covering up mistakes, hiding behind hierarchy, or not being able to accept progress made by somebody ‘beneath’ you, but I think that’s not really it

Also, how is that a problem in daily life?
I assume it can be frustrating in a job environment when your colleague or boss acts irrationally, but is it also an issue in day-to-day life when you are not working anymore?
Where and how are you usually confronted with problems that come from cultural differences like that ?
Thank you!
