Hectic times for English top trio with the fittest likely to prevail

It’s been a remarkably busy time for the trio of teams at the top of the Premier League recently and there is no let-up for them this weekend.

Only days after playing in intense Champions League quarter-finals, Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea are at it again at Wembley in the semi-finals of the FA Cup, with the first two teams playing one another once more while Chelsea take on a resurgent Crystal Palace.

Last week in the crucial top of the table clash, it was honours even when City and Liverpool fought out a highly entertaining 2-2 draw.

Since then both teams have advanced to the Champions League semi-finals although in somewhat contrasting fashion.
