My husband has received a job offer in Phuket and we are researching what our stay there would be so we can make an informed decision. The challenge we are currently facing would be for me to find a job in my field. If he were to take the job, we would be looking at moving to Phuket in September of this year.
I’m a medical technologist looking for any lab based jobs in a hospital/clinic/private lab/research faculty etc.
Can anyone here advice how i could go about getting a job while on a dependent visa (my husband will be on a work visa and I will get a dependency visa through him), or what would the necessary steps be for me to convert my dependency visa to a work visa for myself? Would I need my employer to sponsor a work visa for me and if so, is that something that is achievable or is that a challenge in Phuket’s healthcare industry?

P.S. we will likely be staying in the Karon area so if anyone has any advice/tips for us to about living in Phuket generally that would be greatly appreciated as well!
