Havs anyone noticed their skin and hair get healthier after moving to Thailand?

I travel to Asia often, especially Thailand and Japan. I usually go for between 3-6 weeks at a time. While I’m not staying for months or years, yet, It’s enough time for me to start noticing some things.

In both Japan and Thailand, I’ve noticed that my skin and hair have gotten healthier. Specifically, my KP starts to go away little by little. KP (Keratosis Pilaris) is where you have little bumps on part, or parts, of your body, usually on your upper arms or thighs. It’s totally harmless and noncontagious, but it keeps your skin from feeling smooth.

Interestingly, I noticed that my KP starts going away after spending enough time in Thailand and Japan. I’m assuming it’s because of the different environment (I’ve lived in cold, dry states for most of my life), but it’s crazy to see my skin get better considering there’s no cure.

Other small things include: zero dandruff, less dry skin, lotion seems to be more effective than back home, and my hair feels more voluptuous after shampooing/conditioning.

Has anyone else noticed things like this? Maybe living in the cold is just bad for your skin. Another reason I should just leave this state.
