Govt set to digitise graft fight

The government has vowed to introduce e-payments in the state sector as a key measure to combat corruption, Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin said yesterday.

Chairing the opening of an Anti-Corruption Day event hosted by the Anti-Corruption Organization of Thailand (ACT), Mr Srettha said battling graft was one of the government’s top priorities.

It was the first public forum he addressed since becoming prime minister.

The event was held on the 4th floor of Krung Thep Aphiwat Central Terminal Station. About 500 people including state officials and representatives from the private sector were present.
