Getting a parasite/parasitic infection from a Thai girlfriend who was eating raw meat

Four years back I was dating a Thai girl who was obsessed with raw meat. Either watching videos of it being eaten or eating raw beef/chicken/shellfish on her trips home, it wasn’t much of a concern at the time and I didn’t partake. She’d show me the videos while laying in bed and I’d just smile and kiss her. I made multiple trips to be with her but we broke it off when the pandemic started.

I developed skin issues while we were dating and they only worsened after we broke up. I also had plenty of digestive problems and crazy irritability. I noticed a significant change when I took Cipro (the antibiotic) about a year and half after we broke up. The skin issues on my face improved and right after I took the Cipro I contracted COVID and the doctor prescribed it again. I went on to take it one more time that year for gastroenteritis. Then I was prescribed a different oral antibiotic for gastro one more time that same year. That’s a total of 4x in one year taking the doctor’s prescribed dose of antibiotics. I was feeling much, much better after that. No skin issues on my face, little digestive problems and finally the irritablity was gone, totally gone. I felt like a new person. Here’s the problem, I believe I passed along the parasite to my new girlfriend (in the west, not a Thai). We broke up, then I believe I may have even passed the parasite on to a new girlfriend. They both had the same symptoms I did when I believe I first got the infection.

Just recently I was given ivermectin for parasitic skin issues (on my back I didn’t notice but were disgusting) and noticed another positive change in my skin and my digestive health. I feel like ivermectin which is for parasites is another key factor in my healing from this.

So here’s my question, hopefully there’s a doctor or nurse out there in TH who’s more familiar with this and can answer. Can one pass along a parasite that would come from eating raw meat to an intimate partner who doesn’t eat raw meat? Is subsequent infection possible to pass along to for the non raw meat eater who has infected to a new intimate partner?

I feel a personal responsibility to my past intimate partners to notify and take care of them should they potentially have the parasite as well. Please don’t judge me, I’m just trying to cause less suffering and pain in the cold, cold world we live. I have zero judgements against people who eat raw meat, so don’t grill me.

Edit:

Thank you to r/Thailand and all the info and support. I can believe someone awarded my ass eating admission. A special thanks to u/littlepooky for their comment and knowledge. For now I’m leaving this post up.
