Gangster’s kin to pick up body

PHUKET: The family of the Indian gangster murdered by suspected hitmen last week will arrive in the next few days to take his body back to India, national police chief Suwat Jangyodsuk said yesterday.

Pol Gen Suwat said the relatives of Jimi “Slice” Sandhu had informed authorities they would arrive in Phuket either tomorrow or Monday to collect the body.

Police are currently working with Canadian police and Interpol to track down and arrest the two suspects, who are believed to be Canadian nationals.

Investigators say the suspects entered Thailand in the middle of December and left Thailand via Suvarnabhumi airport on Feb 6, two days after the killing. One flew to Amsterdam while the other flew to Frankfurt.
