Galaxy, MGM set sights on gaming market in Thailand – Media

Galaxy Entertainment Group and MGM Resorts International have reportedly been exploring the possibility of opening casino resorts in Thailand, according to anonymous sources cited by Bloomberg News.

The two casino operators are said to have been making preparations in the country, and are also considering expanding their business footprint to the United Arab Emirates.

Despite attempts by the Macau News Agency to verify this information with Galaxy Entertainment and MGM China, no response has been received as of the time of publication. The anonymous source claimed that Galaxy had already set up offices in Thailand and the UAE to promote its Macau operations and gather on-the-ground information.
