Pointless, apart from for a very, very few – the practicalities of doing this effectively and observing quarantine rules mean that it would (or at least SHOULD) put severe restrictions on caddies and other golfers wanting to play round at the same time.
How can you convince Thais they have to quarantine for a fortnight when you let foreigners play golf?
It’s not so much anyone being “thick as sh1t” as their simply lacking the courage to say that tourism has to stay on hold until the vaccines and tests permit it, and coming up with these absurd schemes instead just so they can be seen to be doing something.
