Flying into Thailand for 1 day before flying back west – Do I really need the 20’000 Bhat?

At the end of a 7 month trip in Cambodia, flying into BKK to spend a day before flying back west.

I was previously turned away at Poipet when trying to do a visa run. Because I was planning on turning straight back around and walking back to Cambodia, I didn't have Proof of Onward or a Hotel Reservation. So I do have a stamp in my passport that says I didn't provide proof of funds (Former post here)

Annoyingly I did have more than enough funds last time, I just didn't have the other 2

This time I have a flight booked from BKK within 48 hours of arriving in Thailand, and a Hostel booked which I can show on arrival at BKK. I arrive late at night, sleep, have a full day in BKK then leave early that following morning.

Should I still be bringing 20k Bhat in cash? I'm heading back to Europe so don't really want to be taking that much back in dollar only to have to change it again? Or is it wiser to just turn up with the $50 it works out to be for 2/3 days if you divide the 20k Bhat by 30?

My hotel is already paid for by card

TIA
