Fisherman claims Pattaya beach fire was an act of arson

A fisherman claims that a fire that broke out on a lesser-known Pattaya beach was an act of arson. The beach, located on Soi Naklua 18, is mostly used by fishermen who store their fishing gear, tables, and chairs. They later sell their catches in the nearby area.

The blaze occurred between 3 to 4am on Monday, burning some of the fishermen’s equipment and tools.

One fisherman, 41 year old Teeraphat Iampinyo, said that the fire started in the storage area for fishing nets. He told The Pattaya News that the fire was definitely an act of arson because two unidentified people were seen walking in the area before the incident.
