Fire Damages Luxury Home in Pattaya

Pattaya —

A fire destroyed rooms in a luxury home on Soi Sukhumvit Pattaya 54 yesterday evening, December 16th.

Pattaya police received a report of a house fire at 5:30 PM yesterday in the Nongprue sub-district, Banglamung district, Chonburi province. The police coordinated with the emergency response teams and the Pattaya Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Department before urgently dispatching five water trucks to control the incident.

Upon arrival, firefighters found a two-story house engulfed in intense flames. The fire was particularly severe in the bathroom on the second floor, emitting a large amount of smoke. Firefighters quickly sprayed water to contain the fire and prevent it from spreading. They successfully controlled the flames within a relatively short amount of time.

Upon detailed inspection inside the house, it was discovered that the second-floor bedroom and bathroom had suffered extensive damage from the fire. The walls and ceiling were charred, and the bathroom fixtures were destroyed. The estimated cost of the damage is still being determined as of press time.

Pattaya police suggested that the cause of the fire might be a short circuit. The homeowner, who preferred to remain anonymous, stated that he was not at home when the incident occurred, but the housemaid, who was present, heard an explosion while cleaning. The housemaid immediately called for help, leading neighbors to rush in and assist, while also notifying the authorities. The name of the housemaid was also withheld at request.

Fortunately, there were no injuries reported in the fire. Pattaya police are investigating the incident further to determine the exact cause of the fire.
