CHON BURI: A Finnish man, 58, was found dead with his throat cut at his house in Sattahip district yesterday morning.
Local police were informed of the death of Markku Tapani Karjalainen at about 8.30am at a house in Moo 9 village of tambon Bang Saray.
In the detached house, the man’s body was found in a bed, wearing only underpants. His throat had been cut, and a kitchen knife was lying on the man’s chest. His 49-year-old Thai common-law wife was sitting and crying in the room.
She said she had lived with him for about five years but their marriage was never registered.
