Asoke, Bangkok –
A 20 year-old famous female Thai net-idol was found dead and a 19-year-old male military cadet were found dead with gunshot wounds in a room at a condominium in Asoke.
Lieutenant General Thiti Sangsawang, commissioner of the Metropolitan Police Bureau told TPN media that the Makkasan Police were notified of the incident on Wednesday (April 19th) at a luxury condominium near the Asoke- Petch Intersection on Phetchaburi Road in Ratchathewi.
Rescue workers and the Forensic Police arrived at the room on the 14th floor to find the body of Mr. Poompipat Chaiwanichaya, 19 who was a cadet and son of a former major army officer and his girlfriend Ms. Supitcha ‘Jee Jee’ Preedajaroen, 20 who was a famous Thai net-idol.
Two bullet wounds were found in their heads. Nearby police found a handgun and two cartridges. Police believed they died at least 24 hours before their bodies were found.
A close friend of Jee Jee’s, whose name was withheld, told Thai police that she was unable to contact Jee Jee for some time and she knew the keycode to Jee Jee’s condo before she entered the room and found their bodies. Lieutenant General Thiti has ordered a full investigation.
At this time, the incident is believed to be a murder-suicide, however, Thai law enforcement is asking the public not to speculate over the case. TPN media notes that aspect has already failed as significant discussion around her death, as well as the background and history of their alleged relationship and family connections, has taken place on social media.
