Family Holiday

Hi all, heading to Phuket in Feb next year with my family (2 kids under 3 years old).
This will be a very different trip from my previous visits in my younger and single years.
My wife and I love the vibe and busyness of Patong and everything is so accessible by foot, but realised we need to find a balance now that we have kids to accomodate for, so I’m wondering if Patong beach is still the best option for us or would Kata beach meet a balance of our needs?
We want to be able to walk everywhere and explore night markets, go to the beach, eat street food and go into bars for drinks in the afternoon etc. we will still look at getting a shuttle into Patong during our stay to check it out.
