Facemasks not mandatory as Thailand brings Covid-19 alert level down to 2

BANGKOK, June 18 (The Nation Thailand/ANN): Thailand’s Covid-19 alert level was reduced from 3 to 2 on Saturday thanks to the constant decline in new infections, patients with severe symptoms and fatality.

“Despite the easing of many disease control measures, such as the reopening of entertainment venues, there has been no spike in cases or clusters,” Public Health Ministry’s permanent secretary Dr Kiattiphum Wongrajit had also said on Friday (June 17).

“This is thanks to the fact that most business owners are following the ministry’s Covid Free Setting practices and other related regulations.”
