Experienced Hospitality and Bar Manager From US Looking for Work

Hey everyone, looking for some advice about seeking work in Thailand. I have been in resort hospitality for 10 years in the United States working primarily in food and beverage. I’m interested in some advice on how to look for jobs and what the typical application process is like here?

A little more about me… Experience in restaurant, bar, and banquet management at major tourist destinations across the United States. Lately my primary work has been in special events, live entertainment, and fast paced high volume bartending, although I have previously worked in fine dining. I’m a high energy person and I’m enthusiastic about the work I do. I’m also interested in branching out into hotel/hostel management. I’d be happy to share my resume/CV with anyone who may be able to point me in the right direction.

What I would like to know… Is it normal here to go ahead and give a copy of my resume/CV out to bars hostels that I feel may be a good match for my skills and personality? What about a cover letter or references? Are there any sites or groups that would be good to look into?

Thanks for reading. I appreciate any advice.

Update: I do not speak Thai. I have a bachelor’s degree and expirence teaching foreign students English in a food and beverage setting.
