Excited for an October Trip to Thailand! Looking for friendly advice and recommendations to make the most of it!

Hi all,

I am looking for some advice for my trip to Thailand in October.
This is the schedule I have made, just to sum up:

1st of October: Departure from Amsterdam to Bangkok.
2nd – 5th: Arrive and stay at Travelodge Sukhumvit 11 in Bangkok.
5th – 9th: Fly to Koh Samui and enjoy the beaches on the island.
9th – 11th: Fly from Koh Samui to Chiang Mai and spend three days exploring the city.
12th: Fly from Chiang Mai back to Bangkok.
12th – 15th: Chill and enjoy the remaining days in Bangkok.
15th October: Departure from Bangkok back to Amsterdam.

I have read some other posts and I am a bit worried if it’s too much traveling.Maybe we should stick with Koh Samui and then head back to Bangkok?
Or visit another island instead of Samui?
I have heard that Chiang Mai is a really laid-back place, so that’s why I included it in our trip.

Just something I’d like to mention:
We are planning to take flights to save time.
When in Bangkok, we plan to relax, visit temples, go to Nana Plaza 😊, visit some shopping malls, and just enjoy the people and explore the city itself.
When visiting Koh Samui, we simply want to relax on the beach, go for a swim, and maybe explore the island by foot or with a bike.

I am really looking forward to visiting Bangkok and some of the islands and want to make the most of it! Any advice or recommendations are greatly appreciated!

Thanks, all!
