Esso exits Thailand after acquisition by Bangchak Corporation

The 22.6 billion baht acquisition allows Bangchak to increase its refinery capacity and expand its network of service stations.


Energy conglomerate Bangchak Corporation Plc (BCP) has closed the deal to purchase Esso Thailand Limited from ExxonMobil Asia Holdings Pte for $637 million.

Around 700 Esso petrol stations throughout the country will commence operations under Bangchak’s brand this week.
