Emirates airline signs tourism deal with Thailand

Emirates signed a tourism agreement with Thailand today.

The Dubai-based airline signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Tourism Authority of Thailand to promote tourism in the southeast Asian country. Per the agreement, Emirates will showcase travel to Thailand to its customers and promote it to travel agents, the airline said in a press release

Thailand has been active in the United Arab Emirates recently. The Thai state oil and gas company PTT also opened an office in the Abu Dhabi Global Market financial center yesterday. PTT oil has already been trading on the ICE Futures Abu Dhabi exchange since last March, the official Emirates News Agency reported

PTT is currently seeking to expand its investments in non-oil businesses, including the food and beverage sector. The firm is also looking to do more business in the Middle East. Last November, PTT signed an agreement
