Laugh if you must but I like them for their pattern/comfort. But, I’m fussy about fabric quality & would LOVE them in cotton or cotton blend (not thin 100% rayon). Also would like finding some that are sewn together well enough so that they don’t rip at the seams upon the first wear. I know they are meant as cheap backpacker tourist wear but I don’t mind paying extra baht for extra quality.
I am in Bangkok for the next week before I leave to go back to the US and want to bring home about 10 pairs as gifts. The intended recipients range from experienced world traveler friends who would find them a funny/ ironic gift (omg – “clown pants”!) to decidedly unworldly family members who would see them as Thai “exotic” clothing. All would probably wear them as them as pj’s/loungewear.
Do these pants exist? Where can I find them?
