Early Morning Fire Brings Down Several Houses in Pattaya



Pattaya —

A large fire, which took place at 02:30 AM this morning, destroyed several houses in Pattaya and slightly injured one resident.

The Pattaya City Fire Prevention and Protection Department dispatched firefighting personnel and five fire trucks to the accident scene in the Pae Kong Village within the Naklua sub-district of Banglamung district, Chonburi province, after receiving a report of a residential fire in the early morning of today, June 11st.

At the scene, firefighting personnel found several residents standing in panic outside of their premises. They also found an intense fire that was engulfing houses within the village.

According to reports, it took over 30 minutes to bring the fire under control. Upon inspection, the firefighters found that the house where the flames originated from was actually a shop selling merchandise. One resident who was inside the house sustained minor shoulder burns from the fire. She was identified as Ms. Bunying Duangsawat, 50.

In an interview with Mr. Parichart Duangsawat, 30, he said that he quickly rushed out of the house after hearing somebody yelling about the fire. He then helped his family members, one was a 90-year-old, out of the house and called the authorities.

The officials were assessing the damage and attempting to find the cause of the incident.
