DSI mulls Tangmo’s case

The Department of Special Investigation (DSI) is considering whether to accept the death of TV actress Nida “Tangmo” Patcharaveerapong as a special case. The results will be known by April 15.

The statement was given by DSI chief Triyarith Temahivong, before a meeting on the progress of the investigation yesterday. The meeting was also attended by prominent activist and ex-senator Rosana Tositrakul who asked the DSI to accept the case.

Dr Triyarith said he has appointed the DSI deputy chief, Pol Lt Col Phayao Thongsen, as head of the investigation unit that will work with interdisciplinary personnel and the Institute of Forensic Science’s experts who were present at both of Tangmo’s autopsies.

The gathered evidence will then be submitted to the DSI’s screening sub-committee for consideration.
