Driver, putter, wedge are the most important clubs

Here are a couple of swing points that every golf coach must explain over and over again.

The first is that very few players actually see the ball when they hit it.

Even Ben Hogan stated that he lost sight of the ball somewhere during his downswing.

The second is that the hand position at address should be towards the inside of your left thigh on every shot except the driver.

With the driver the hands would be best placed slightly back so that it encourages hitting on the upswing.

The driver, the putter and the wedge are the most important clubs in your bag.

Why? Because you hit the driver roughly 14 times during a round.

A putt of five-foot counts one stroke. That’s the same as a 280-yard drive…
