Mr. Supattanapong Punmeechaow, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy of Thailand, together with Ms. Duangjai Asawachintachit, Secretary General of the Thailand Board of Investment (BOI), called on Mr. Hirokazu Matsuno, Chief Cabinet Secretary of Japan, and Mr. Hagiuda Koichi, Minister of Economy, Trade & Industry of Japan (METI) on 21 April 2022. The two sides expressed their commitment to enhance bilateral cooperation and to promote new Japanese investment in Thailand in areas such as energy, electrical vehicles and batteries as well as to strengthen the supply chain in accordance with Thailand’s BCG economic model policy and Japan’s Green Growth Strategy.
