Pattaya City, in collaboration with MCOT Plc, will be hosting the “Doraemon Run Thailand 2024 by MCOT” on Saturday, May 11th, 2024, at Central Pattaya Beach.
The preparation meeting for the event was held at 10 AM on Wednesday, April 24th, at the Pattaya City Hall. According to relevant officials, the Doraemon Run Thailand aims to promote Pattaya as a sports tourism destination and attract both domestic and international tourists. It also seeks to encourage physical activity among people of all ages through this running event.
The Doraemon Run Thailand 2024 by MCOT is the first of its kind in Thailand and will be held in five provinces: Bangkok, Pattaya (Chonburi), Nakhon Ratchasima, Phuket, and Chiang Mai. Bangkok already hosted the first leg on March 24th, and Pattaya will be the second.
Pattaya’s Doraemon Run will be a 5-kilometer fun run open to runners aged 5 to 70, both Thai and international. A total of over 2,000 people are expected to join this one-of-a-kind event. The Start/Finish line will be located at Central Beach at the Activity Field. The race will kick off at 5:30 PM on Saturday, May 11th.
Adorable Doraemon mascots will be available for photo opportunities throughout the event. Unfortunately, registration is already closed for running but spectators are welcome and the event should be great for kids.
