Dolphin washes up on Nai Yang beach

PHUKET: An injured striped dolphin washed up on Nai Yang beach in Thalang district on Sunday morning, says Sirinat National Park chief Sorasak Rananan.

The dolphin was found on the beach by locals and tourists about 7.30am.

A rescue team from Sakhu tambon administrative organisation and officials from Sirinat National Park gave the marine mammal first aid.

The male dolphin, rescuers said, was about 170 centimetres long, about 80 centimetres in circumference, weighed about 80 kilogrammes and appeared…
