Doctor shares photos of people camping out for COVID-19 treatment in Bangkok

A doctor has shared pictures of people camping outside a hospital in hopes of getting a bed for COVID-19 treatment. 

Thiravat Hemachudha, neurologist and director of the Health Science Centre of Emerging Diseases at Chulalongkorn University, on Thursday night shared images of people camping outside the Ramathibodi Hospital in Bangkok

“At least these people who cannot get access to hospital’s treatment should be provided with favipiravir to take at home,” Thiravat wrote, referring to antiviral medication used to treat COVID-19 patients. “You can at least give minimally symptomatic patients green chiretta, cannabis oil or a 12-milligram anti-parasite drug to fight the virus.”

The post was shared more than 1,700 times on Facebook with many comments expressing their bitterness toward the government while others asked the doctor about medication or herbs…
