Flood-hit province hit by even more rain
Six days of heavy rain have caused widespread flooding in Nakhon Si Thammarat, affecting hundreds of communities and inundating large swaths of farmland.
Governor Kraisorn Wisitwong said on Wednesday he had instructed the province’s disaster mitigation office to closely monitor the situation and provide swift assistance to affected communities.
According to Mr Kraisorn, 351 villages across 15 districts were flooded — affecting 16,709 households, or 47,939 people.
