The army’s annual training camp for territorial defence students, held in Muang district of Kanchanaburi province, has been cancelled on Covid-19 transmission concerns.
Lt Col Nutrawee Jaemjamras, assistant spokeswoman, on Friday announced the cancellation of the training course at Khao Chon Kai camp, normally held from January to March.
It usually involves about 200,000 territorial defence students, also known as Ror Dor .
The decision was made on concerns about the spread of Covid-19, she said.
The army would introduce online material instead, she said.
