Dealing with all of the random people who try to talk to you when out walking

I just got into Bangkok and was walking around sukhumvit area last night. Seemed like anyone I made eye contact with would try to stop me and offer me something (freelance, drugs, tuk tuk, etc)

Anyways is it fine to just completely ignore them? Ive had instances in the states where people get very upset if I just keep walking even if they are just trying to scam me/sell me some BS.

What’s the best way to deal with them? Do I have to stop every time and say no because it seemed to be constant and ultimately annoying
