Current E-Visa (Tourist) Processing Times? Nearly 2 weeks and nothing yet!

Anyone applied for an E-Visa recently? My mom applied 2 weeks ago for a 60 day tourist visa and still no response. Her payment was completed as she can still see on her online banking. By now, I’d expect her to hear that she needs to resubmit a document or something like that, or be given the visa already. She got a confirmation email after creating an account. But after completing the application and successfully paying, she didn’t get any confirmation email at all. 2 weeks later, still nothing! Seems unreal that they could be this slow. Obviously travelers don’t like waiting till the last minute before getting on their expensive flight to find out if they are even allowed to come! It’s typical I know, but at least a confirmation email giving an expected timeframe seems absolutely mandatory.

She’s in Ontario, Canada. The system was closed on October 28 so they must have been doing some updates/improvements hopefully. She applied just after that without too much trouble. Another friend had a lot of trouble doing it early October.
