‘Crazy climax’ at the Valley again

The Valley hosts another crazy climax

Every now and again we get a reminder that drama in English football is not confined to the Premier League.

You only have to look at the amazing final minutes in the League One game at the Valley last Saturday.

Hosts Charlton were taking on Ipswich Town who are among the favourites for the title.

It turned out to be quite a game which the Addicks and the Tractor Boys will remember for different reasons.

After 52 minutes, Ipswich were 2-0 up and seemingly coasting to three points which would take them to top of the league.

However, the hosts fought back and after 90 minutes they had drawn level at 2-2, with six minutes of stoppage time left.

The game appeared to be heading for a draw, which turned out to be the case, but not on the way you would imagine.
