Cooler weather for upper and central regions

Easterly winds, meanwhile, continue to affect the eastern and lower central regions and rain, often heavy, dominates the south.

People in the southern region should be alert for torrential downpours and accumulated precipitation, which may lead to sudden flooding and landslides, especially in areas near waterways and low-lying areas.

Another round of high-pressure, or a cool air mass, from China will reinforce its influence over Thailand from November 16-19, leading to scattered thunderstorms in the north followed by falling temperatures and strong winds. In the northeastern region, temperatures will drop by 5-7 degrees Celsius, in the northern and central regions including Bangkok and its environs by 4-6 degrees Celsius, and in the eastern region by 2-4 degrees Celsius.
