Cool in the North; heavy rain in the South

The northeast and eastern regions will be buffeted by strong winds while the South will see further heavy rain.

A relatively strong northeastern monsoon covering the lower Gulf of Thailand and the lower southern region will combine with the low-pressure area that’s intensifying over the Malacca Strait and Sumatra, bringing torrential rain to some areas of the lower southern region. Residents are advised to be cautious of dangers posed by heavy and accumulated rainfall, which may cause sudden flooding and rapid river currents, especially in hilly areas near waterways and low-lying areas.
