Connecting to CNX from BKK from Denmark

Hello all

I am going to visit a Friend for a month in Chiang mai, and when I look for a ticket there are 1 stop in Bangkok of course, but only 1 hour to catch the flight to Chiang mai, its with thai airways both.

My question is, dont I need to go through immigration in BKK and check in domestic ? if so that is not enough with an hour?

I really dont know Bangkoks Airport, how much time would i need if i had to go through immigration in Bangkok, get baggage and then check in domestic?
