Complaint filed against partygoers

The Sathon District Office yesterday lodged a police complaint against celebrities who partied with actor Techin Ploypetch, aka DJ Matoom, during his birthday at a hotel on Jan 9 amid the Covid-19 pandemic.

The complaint was filed by Pansak Charoensuk, chief of the district office.

Mr Pansak said he wants police to look into the matter and establish the timelines of those who attended the party.

Twenty-nine infections have been linked to Mr Techin’s party.

Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha has instructed police to take legal actions against Covid-19 carriers who conceal their timelines and hamper disease control efforts.

The order follows complaints from the Department of Disease Control (DDC) that their contact tracing efforts are being hampered by patients who refuse to reveal their movements.
