Cold weather forecast for Bangkok tonight

People living in Bangkok will get a taste of cold weather tonight, when the temperature in the capital is expected is forecast to fall to 20^oC, according to Dr. Royol Chitradon, director of the Hydro Informatics Institute.

He said that one noticeable sign of imminent cold weather is the high level of dust in the atmosphere, due to poor air circulation caused by the convergence of northerly and southerly winds, adding that the cold conditions will last for about three days and PM2.5 is likely to increase.

Meanwhile, the air quality in four areas in Bangkok today has reached the Red level, with the amount of PM2.5 pollution measured at 82.4μg in Phra Khanong, 77.5μg in Bang Na, 77μg in Nong Khaem and 75.8μg in Bangkok Yai, according to the “Check Foon” application.
