My partner and I were walking down Bangla and as usual lots of seedy dudes saying “do you want cocaine?” Obviously we had heard about this scam and had been told that if you say yes they will bring the police to fine you or put you in jail?
We rejected one guy and then 1 minute later we see a solo white dude being dragged into a doorway thing by the same guy who asked us if we wanted any ( from a distance. )
Naturally we waited around to see if he came out but it had been like 5 min so we left but it’s still on my mind even though it’s been days.
Is there any chance that this guy actually just got cocaine and was left alone to his vices or is this ALWAYS a scam on Bangla? I’m only asking because I met some really drunk thai women in Chiang Mai who were talking about cocaine and MDMA to me (not selling but just how much they enjoy it)? I know that’s it’s severely illegal here but it was just interesting that locals clearly have access.
