My partner and I are going to be coming to Chiang Mai soon, and are planning on riding to Pai and back during our trip.
We’re both licensed motorcyclists with an IDP and are very much the “all the gear all the time” kind of motorcyclists. Except we’re very aware that it’s not going to be practical for us to carry around Kevlar pants and jackets throughout Thailand.
Our thinking is that perhaps we source some long clothing while in Chiang Mai, because some coverage is better than no coverage. My partner is concerned though we won’t be able to find anything for him. He is tall (over 6″) and generally fits XXL-XXXL clothing depending on the label.
What are our options in Chiang Mai? We’re staying in the Old City, but if we need to travel further to get him some clothing, then we will. Our price range would prefer to be inexpensive (we’re Australians, if that helps), but we’ll consider all options.
