City to dust off and gear up for hectic travel week – FTBL

Melbourne City will have no time to lick their wounds after losing their A-League Men opener, with a trip to Thailand then Adelaide on the cards.

Rado Vidosic’s charges suffered a 2-1 defeat to local rivals Western United on Saturday evening.

They will fly to Thailand on Sunday for Wednesday night’s Asian Champions League clash with Buriram United, then head directly to face Adelaide United away in the ALM on Sunday.

“You dream to be in the Champions League and then you can’t complain when you get the draw,” Vidosic said.

“But yeah, we fly to Thailand tomorrow then from Bangkok after the game, we fly to Sydney, from Sydney to Adelaide. We don’t get home til probably the following Monday.

“So it’s a good opportunity to bond as a team, to spend time together.
