Cigarette and weed smoking etiquette, condo rules and in general

Hello everyone!

I recently moved to Thailand for working here and just got my long term condo rental agreement and moved in. Sometimes I like to smoke a little bit of weed, and then I have friends who smoke cigarettes. I dont want to cause any trouble during my living here, and I always value my neighbours happiness so thats why I am asking about this.

My landlord and agent that I used did not tell me too much about condo rules, policies or other good to know stuff. Also I have not seen any general guidelines on hallways or condo website, which is strange.

I know that smoking is not allowed on balconies in this building. This rule is something I value as well, and it seems to be working very well as so far I never smelled cigarette smoke or weed odour.

When I asked if I have friends coming to my place, and if they wanted to smoke, where they should do it. Landlord said on the street / front entrance parking lot, or then on the roof where is the pool area. However, I dont see any ashtrays on the pool area or no-one even using the pool so it feels a bit like a place not to smoke weed or cigarettes but I dont know if I am just overthinking.

In general I think smoking weed on the street is illegal, and should be done in a private property or place. However, as I cannot smoke on my balcony, what options I have?

Thank you for reading all this, and sorry if my question is way too stupid haha 😝
