Chinese (Lunar) New Year Envelopes

Chinese (Lunar) New Year is coming up on Feb 10th.

I typically give out envelopes to all of the staff at my building, my drivers, cleaning staff, laundry lady, and handful of other people that I have regular interactions with.

Does anyone else do the same?

Without getting into specifics how do you determine how much to give?

I usually take this as an opportunity to give a big thank you to people who genuinely make my life better / easier and really enjoy the occasion.
