Chinese earn shot at title

China advanced to the final of the Asian Women’s Volleyball Championship 2023 in Nakhon Ratchasima.

China defeated Vietnam 3-0 (25-13, 25-12, 25-22) in the first semi-final match at Korat Chatchai Hall on Tuesday.

The 13-time champions will play the winners of the second semi-final between Thailand and Japan.

China are back in the final for the first time since 2015 when they defeated South Korea 3-0 to claim their 13th title.

In the classification round of the fifth-eight places on Tuesday, South Korea beat India 3-0 (25-21, 25-18, 25-20) while Kazakhstan edged Australia 3-2 (25-16, 21-25, 19-25, 25-15, 15-12).
