So I have noticed Chiang Mai has walls in a square. Reading up it was to defend in all four directions against invaders. The women in this direction have extra white skin, prized throughout Asia. Plus rulers from back then had a lust for land and if a part of Thailand were to be snatched, it would be the north, jutting into the territories or rival areas.
How often was Chiang Mai breached? Did the men (and women) defend from the walls with little spear, bow and arrows etc?
