Chiang Mai in April

I’ve booked a 5 night stay in Chiang Mai from 5th to 11th April this year and I’ve just found out it’s the “burning season” and it’ll be very hot.

I’m worried I’ve made a terrible mistake by going at that time of the year. Does anyone know how bad it really is or will it be OK?

Worst case scenario I can cancel the accommodation but I’ve still paid for the flights and I could book somewhere else in Thailand.

The accommodation I’ve booked does have air con and a pool so we can keep cool that way.

(BTW we’re an English and Scottish couple so not used to anything above 25c!!)
